  • When going on IA are the uniforms that you are issued paid for?

I'm trying to figure out if the uniforms that are issued are given to my husband or if they will come out of our paycheck. Thank you in advance.

  • How do I get Farmville posts back on my Facebook home page?

OK I'll admit that before I got into Farmville I got annoyed with the constant Farmville posting so I hid the application...now that I play Farmville I want the postings back so that I can adopt animals (everyone beats me to the punch now). All it seems to do is make it so that I can see my own postings of Farmville but not other peoples.

  • Old fashioned water boiling wand?

There used to be a wand type thing that you could use to boil water in your coffee cup. It was metal and coiled at the bottom. I am wondering if anyone knows what it is called and if they still make them anymore. Thanks!

  • Proper way to store dry beans?

I want to know if it will hurt dry beans to store them in a large glass container. I like to buy dry beans in bulk and store them in canning jars but I would like to use one large glass container to store the beans in and just take out what I need. I was wondering if all the air in the container would make the beans spoil.

  • Where do I put the DOD sticker on the windshield of a car registered in Texas?

We are NOT stationed in Texas…we are in Washington state where we don’t have to get a yearly inspection. My question is where do I put the DOD decals for the car. Under the license plate sticker, or over it. I assume if we travel to Texas in our car we will have to get an inspection pretty soon after crossing into Texas. Thanks in advance.

  • Is there a benefit to getting a tractor in Farmville?

I was just wondering if it will make harvesting quicker or if I will still have to click one square at a time to indicate where I want the tractor to go. I don't wanna spend all my "farm cash" if this is just a gimmick for zynga to make money from people actually buying more "farm cash" for the fuel or whatever.

    Thanks :)

  • Can landlords get away with this?

Every year our landlords do a "walk-through" of the apartments. That's fine I have no problem with that part of it. I know that they have to post an intent to enter 48 hours before coming into our apartment. The part that is annoying is the fact that our landlord put the "intent to enter notice" at the end of the stairway banister for our group of 4 apartments instead of putting the notice on each apartment door. My husband saw this notice and thought a tenant put it there and he took it off (of course we put it back when we noticed what it was) but what if someone else took it off and didn't replace it and we never saw the notice and they came into our apartment while we were gone...our dogs would have been running in the apartment and could easily have gotten out. So for my long question can a landlord get away with just putting an intent to enter notice on the stairwell banister?

  • Does anyone know how long after treating dogs with Frontline Plus I can re-treat?

I treated my dogs with Frontline Plus on the 15th of September. I didn't apply it correctly (lost directions). Instead of putting a spot of Frontline on them I rubbed it in a bit. Anyway they are still jumping with fleas. I am wondering if it is safe to go ahead and retreat or if I should just try using flea shampoo until the correct date. I know the obvious is to call the vet I will do that tomorrow but curosity sake of what other people think as well. Thanks.

  • Has anyone been having some strange things happen with YA?

I’ve been having weird stuff happen lately with YA. A few days ago I posted a question and then chose a best answer later that day then all of a sudden I started getting very formal emails with late answers to my question. By formal I mean they are kind of worded like the emails you get saying that you have won some lottery or something. I tried responding to one (using the link within the email) and I got a delivery failure notice. Also in the past two days I had 5 people “connect” with me and these were all people who were level 1…they didn’t have any questions and no answers yet. I’ve already disabled email and everything like that on my account which I hated doing because I enjoy all of the “YA experience”. I was wondering if I am being too paranoid about all this or if anyone else is having the same kind of thing happening to them as well.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Flea bomb and snakes?

Our apartment landlord is coming into our apartment to bomb for fleas...the apartment downstairs was infested with fleas and so the whole building is being bombed for them. I am not at all thrilled with this for several reasons...one of which is we have animals and I don’t want them exposed to the poisons. Knowing me and my paranoia of poisons I will probably end up taking the snakes…tanks and all to a hotel for a few days. How long after the “bombing” should I keep them away.

  • Landlord setting off flea bomb in apartment?

Our apartment landlord is coming into our apartment to bomb for fleas...the apartment downstairs was infested with fleas and so the whole building is being bombed for them. I am not at all thrilled with this for several reasons...one, we have animals that I don’t want exposed to the poisons (we will keep them out for a few days). Two, I don't like poisons of any kind because I have reactions to a lot of this stuff and I don't want it on my bedding and clothing and all that stuff. Knowing me I will end up taking all my clothes and everything out of the apartment. Can the landlords force us to have this done?

  • Is there a sure-fire way to keep hard boiled egg yolks from turning green?

I'm making a salad with hard boiled eggs for a potluck and I would really like to avoid getting the green yolks. Does anyone know how to avoid it?

  • Frontline and medicated shampoo?

I treated my dogs with Frontline yesterday and it says to wait 24 hours before bathing. It's been a little over 24 now. The question is would it be OK to use medicated shampoo? I want to use medicated shampoo to help relieve the itch from the old flea bites. I know the easiest would be to call the vet and ask but it's a military vet and it isn't as simple as calling and getting someone to answer the phone.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Question about Frontline?

My dogs have fleas (thank you apartment living...) Anyway the directions for Frontline say not to bathe your dog for at least 24 hours after applying. That isn't a problem but it's raining a lot here and since we live in an apartment the dogs have to be walked quite a bit and they get wet from the grass and all that, the dogs are short and hairy so just getting on the wet grass gets their legs and bellies wet.

The question is would it be OK to go ahead and treat them with Frontline now or do I need to wait until it quits raining...will the rain make the Frontline useless?

  • How do you press Navy Dress Blues? Do you press them inside out or right side out?

I know where all the seams go...3 on the flap and one down the back and front of the shirt and on the sides of the pants. I'm just not sure if I press them right side out like utilities or inside out like dress whites. Thanks!

  • Guinea Pig left on neighbors porch today...?

We just moved into some apartments...we have been here less than a week. We have talked to the people next door and know their names and that's pretty much it. Someone left a Guinea Pig at their front door earlier today, of course its in a small cage, it's been there all day and now it is a little after 10:00PM and getting coldish (65F). I don't want the little thing to freeze to death during the night but don't want to be accused of stealing someones animal at the same time. Any suggestions would be nice. i've thought of taking the little thing in and leaving a note on their door but not sure how that would go over...
