Where do I put the DOD sticker on the windshield of a car registered in Texas?

We are NOT stationed in Texas…we are in Washington state where we don’t have to get a yearly inspection. My question is where do I put the DOD decals for the car. Under the license plate sticker, or over it. I assume if we travel to Texas in our car we will have to get an inspection pretty soon after crossing into Texas. Thanks in advance.

Update:

We do have Texas plates.

Travel and ID services at most locations who issue the stickers will tell you to put the stickers on the lower left side of the windshield where the TX inspection and registration stickers would go. However, because we in Texas must clutter up that part of the windshield with inspection and registration stickers, decals for Texas vehicles generally go in the top middle of the windshield above where the rear view mirror hangs.

Either is fine. You don't have to have your car inspected unless you are in TX for 30 days or more just make sure when you do travel to TX you have your leave papers on you showing that you aren't going to be there more than 30 days.

    Here is the TXDoT website

I am living in NC with a car with TX plates and registration. I have my DoD decals underneath the TX stickers. Or you can put it in the middle at the top of the winshield.

If Washington state does not require vehicle inspections and you have Washington plates, you can drive all over Texas without an inspection sticker....
