Question about Frontline?

My dogs have fleas (thank you apartment living...)  Anyway the directions for Frontline say not to bathe your dog for at least 24 hours after applying.  That isn't a problem but it's raining a lot here and since we live in an apartment the dogs have to be walked quite a bit and they get wet from the grass and all that, the dogs are short and hairy so just getting on the wet grass gets their legs and bellies wet.
The question is would it be OK to go ahead and treat them with Frontline now or do I need to wait until it quits raining...will the rain make the Frontline useless?

As long as it doesnt wash the treatment off of their backs before it has time to soak in it should be fine.
If the dogs have jackets (which is best if they are short haired and being walked out in the rain) you can just put the jacket on over the treated spot and it should be fine.
Getting wet on the legs and belly wont hurt the treatment, because you are supposed to put the solution on their backs.
Within 24 hours the treatment should have soaked into the bloodstream.
You could always wait until after you have walked the dogs to apply the flea treatment :)

We use Frontline on both are dogs. We get it from our Vet. as it's cheaper to get it from them in bulk. Anyway, the Vet told use after applying it, don't wash the dogs for a day or two, but as long as it's dry to the touch where it was applied, it will be fine. I hope this helps. And to help with the fleas in the house, this little tip might be useful. Buy a flea collar, cut the metal buckle off of it and place it in your vacuum cleaner canister&#92;bag. The collar will kill any that you suck up, seeing approx. only about 10% of the fleas will be on your dog. The rest are in your carpet, furniture, etc... Good luck.

Yes, use Fontline now.  The wetness from the rain and wet grass shouldn't be a problem.  It's the soap and all the water from baths that would wash it away, not just rain.

your animals need to be dry and frontline needs at least 24hrs on the pet to absorb into the hair follicles ,  if applied to wet fur it will not adsorb correctly and you will be wasting ur money
