Spicy party mix. I want to make party mix but I would like ideas to make it spicy, tasty spicy not just hot.?

    Hot & Zesty Chex party mix

    Ingredients:

    1/4 c Margarine or butter; melted

    1 tb Lea & Perrins

    2 ts TABASCO pepper sauce;

    (2 to 8 c Your favorite Chex brand

    1 c Mixed nuts

    1 c Pretzels

    1 c Bite-size cheese crackers

    PreparationMicrowave Oven: Combine margarine, Worcestershire sauce, TABASCO sauce and seasoned salt; mix well. Pour cereals, nuts, pretzels and cheese crackers into large Glad-Lock? Zipper Bag. Pour margarine mixture over cereal mixture inside Zipper Bag. Seal top of bag securely. Shake bag until all pieces are evenly coated. Pour contents of bag into large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high 5 to 6 minutes, stirring throroughly every 2 minutes. While stirring, make sure to scrape sides and bottom of bowl. Spread on absorbent paper to cool. Store in airtight container. Conventional Oven: Preheat oven to 250?F. Follow steps 1 and 2 above. Pour contents of bag into open roasting pan. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool and store as directed above. Makes 11 cups.

    Well, when I think of Party Mix, I think of Chex Mix with cashews or peanuts, pretzels, Rice, Corn and Wheat Chex, Cheerios, usually those little New York style melba toasts. The instructions on the Chex Cereal have you add melted butter, seasoned salt and worchester sauce. If you wanted it spicier, I'd recommend using cayenne pepper as well or you could use a prepared spicier seasoned salt like Tony Chachere's.

    make popcorn and add cinnamon for a sweet nes, and spicy spices for the spice part
