UK based question....Can my manager be fired for bullying?

I am about to put in paperwork to ACAS for bullying and harassment at work which will lead to early conciliation, failing that I will then take the company to tribunal. I have a strong case where paperwork, evidence of my grievances and complaints not being dealt with and witness statements are concerned. I have also been advised I will definitely win my case whether the company settles at early conciliation or it is taken to tribunal.

I was wondering, what happens to the managers that cause employees to take their companies to early conciliation or tribunal? The bullying and harassment was being done by a manager? Is there any reprimanding that is done or do the company just pay up and leave it there?

    In the U.S. and Canada, managers have the right to manage as they see fit.  If you are unhappy with your manager, then you can quit.  Complaining about him will probably get you fired.  But I can't say for sure since you failed to say what he is doing and saying.  I hope you have a strong case, because unless his behavior is especially grievous, you would be better off sucking it up.

    There is no universal answer to your question and up to the individual company concerning the individual manager.  Some may choose to do nothing, others may choose to retrain the manager and others will just sack him.  Much is the same for the entity who advised you that you will definitely win when you discover differently.

    Pay up and leave it. If they sack  the Manager then they can go for unfair dismissal. And so it goes on.

    Depends on the company and how they deal with internal employee issues.... you are not party to their procedures

    You are not entitled to know the details of any disciplinary action that another employee may or may not receive from their employer.   This is between the employer and the employee and it's private.
