Did they ever fix Windows 10?

I bought 2 windows 10 laptops last month and both of them turned on and constantly shut off after "Updating windows 10 settings", I read this was a common problem. I returned them and bought 2 more, this time they went to the desktop and then the screen shut off but the sound played still, and the screen played on my HDTV via HDMI.

Did they ever fix all of the errors? Id like to know before I upgrade from 8.1 to 10

Most upgrade problems are caused by an infected computer run malwarebytes and a full virus scan.

Then temporary uninstall your antivirus and restart defrag the drive then install Windows 10 when it completely finished wait a full 10 minutes with it connected to the internet.

And restart! If it starts and loads go to settings and click update let it load all updates and restart.

Then type default programs in the search box make windows media player and internet explorer default not edge! Uninstall chrome use edge instead!

Now reinstall your antivirus and defrag again.

Note if you encounter installation problems its very likely your windows 8.1 needs to be factory restored first!

Windows 10 only crashs if you attempt to install on a dirty system or has incompatible hardware and it will tell you before you upgrade.

Uninstall the antivirus! Many installs fail because the antivirus sees all that activity and blocks an important file!

I do this every day! Try it like I suggest.

I upgraded to Windows 10 back in January, on my main, used every day for about 12 hours, laptop. No issues like that... Using Windows 10 is much better, safer, more secure, more reliable, and faster than earlier versions.

There is likely to be another big update next week: 2nd Tuesday of the month = patch Tuesday.

I've installed it on a couple dozen computers so far (all upgrades). Have yet to run into an issue.

There are no major bugs. None. It works great (better than 8 or 8.1 ever did).

I'd wait til February for all the bugs to be fixed. I reverted back to Win8, cause the pin feature sucks.

Experts suggest waiting 6monthes after the release date of OS's, especially bought ones, like Windows and OSX. So all the bugs can be fixed.

To revert back to Win8 from a Win10 upgrade, go to Start>Settings>Update&security>Recovery

*Well I think there is still bugs, so you can stop with the thumbs down.
