delete xp (corrupted?

I need to delete xp

my version is newer than the disk I borrowed and I need to know how to delete it ( xp is not in my (add delete list thanks

    You can't delete an operating system from within the OS.

    You have to boot in with a CD - Windows XP installation CD and then delete/format the partition.

    Hit <del> while starting the computer, go to BIOS setup, make CD the first boot device, pop in the CD in the drive, restart.

    Your computer boots in with the CD, rest is - follow instructions to delete or format the partition.

    boot from xp cd and simplay delete all partitions and install new one
