If what he drives embarrasses you then you shouldn't date him. You and he clearly value different things.

A car shouldn't matter in a relationship. Unless you are referring to a man's d I c k as a car.

The general rule is that the value of a guys car is inversely related to the size of his dick and or ability to pleasure a woman.

The FACT that he owns a VOLVO should tell you that he is a VERY WISE and SMART person! The VOLVO company will give him a FREE CAR if he gets it to ONE MILLION MILES< and this DOES actually HAPPEN! You cannot EVER find a GM car getting to ONE MILLION MILES without replacing EVERYTHING about FIVE TIMES! You should RESPECT his BRILLIANCE as the 240 was a SUPER SAFE and RELIABLE CAR with GREAT features, just NOT exactly full of ELECTRONICS like NAVIGATION< etc or BOSE stereos! I have worked on 3-4 dozen VOLVO CARS< even TURBO Volvo cars they are VERY VERY respectable! They have a GREAT sense of PRECISION and VERY few RECALLS like GM has! SUPERB crash testing as WELL! They are NOT designed only for PROFIT< but for SAFETY and LONG LASTING VALUE! he is VERY SMAERT for holding ON to this car! The SEATS are ORTHOPEDIC and COMFY for LONG drives to ANYWHERE!  In their most RECENT HISTORY they only had ONE FAILURE that I know of and it was the VOLVO fitted with the PVR aluminum engine the SAME ONE used by DE LOREAN< I REAL POS! IT had CAST IRON LINERS with SHIMS under the cylinders and ONE OVERHEAT would send you SCREAMING to a JUNK yard to replace EVERYTHING! NOONE wanted to REPAIR one of these horrible PEUGEOT< VOLVO< RENAULT engines! I even worked on a VOLVO fitted with an AUDI STRAIGHT SIX turbo diesel back in the DAY! ONCE AGAIN< THIS MAN has INTELLIGENCE! The 240 was one of the BEST cars made for THAT TIME and even THIS TIME for SAFETY and STRENGTH and EASE of ownership! WITH TERRIFIC crash tests as well! I would trade for a NICE AUDI TURBO QUATTRO myself! The 240 was ONLY with REAR DRIVE< but it was GOOD rear wheel drive and NOT LIKE GM ONE WHEEL rear drive! IT did NOT have a FULLY INDEPENDENT rear suspension! THAT CAME IN later Volvo YEARS! I was a genuine SAAB technician! It ALSO came from Sweden and was considered to be QUITE sexy!  WAS CONSIDERED TO BE quite sexy>>>You should feel SAFE and appreciate what that car REALY IS! A VETTE has GRREAT LOOKS< for example but has a suspension leftover from the MODEL "T"   It uses TRANSVERSE leaf springs! The RIDE is many times UNCONTROLLABLE and UNSAFE in bad or even MILDLY bad weather! IT JOUNCES along and older ones felt like TRUCKS! I would trade that old VOLVO as GOOD as it is, in for a BMW or AUDI TURBO QUATTRO with MORE safety features and a GREAT rep for RACING in the entire WORLD!   Perhaps you are LIKE TRUMP and LOVE pollution!  RESPECT is EARNED by the type of CAR you own, MAYBE! You should feel  COMFY with the BASIC safety and DESIGN  of the VOLVO! Unlike a CAMARO< you can ACTUALLY SEE out the WINDOWS and can AVOID CRASHING easily! Maybe hs is OTHER CAR is a FORD TARUS! do you liek THOSE cars??

I'd be embarrassed to go out with a 30 year old woman that felt she had to ask other people if a collector car that was older then her means she can't figure out if she likes the man or not! What's next lady? Going to change the clothes he wears? Don't like his best friend? Sounds to me like it's not worth getting to know you.

If he looks like Brad Pitt and has a PhD in mechanical engineering, the answer is yes.

You are unworthy of his time, shallow one.
