My friend keeps bugging me for the money I owe him. How do I approach him to tell him to quit being so cheap?

Actually it's you who is cheap. Can't earn/save your own money so you bludge from your friends. And you don't even have the integrity to be embarrassed that someone has to chase you up after doing you a kindness. Be careful doing this - you're going to find yourself on your own and with a bad reputation.

Pay him back and he will have nothing to complain about.  You are not being a good friend.

Have the gumption to pay back what he loaned you.  He is not being greedy, it was his money and he was kind enough to loan you some.  You are the one being cheap and a dead beat.  Pay him back.

You should have some integrity. Your word must be your bond or else your word means nothing. If your dishonest why would your friend ever trust your word again.

Several of us here would in turn tell you to live up to your promises.

Did you borrow the money from him or did he win a bet that you two made? Either way you should pay him the money you owe him. You can't borrow money if you don't pay it back and if he won the bet then he's earned that money rightfully. I don't think he's greedy at all for asking for money that he's due to get. If you were due to get paid a certain day would you consider yourself to be greedy for expecting that money to go in? It's the same situation. When you can afford to pay him back i think you should. You tell him "You must always think what you can give to others. You should not think what others will give to you. You must tame your mind and set it right, if not it will change you almost into a beggar." People never stops certain things unless they are advised/alerted in a right time. They never understand what is going on in them.

Human beings are ruled by spirits but humans must learn to control and rule the spirits. All of your activities, talks and even thoughts determine what kind of spirits you will have for your life. Only these spirits are the reason for the good and bad happening in your life. These spirits determine your destiny from your daily activities, talks and thoughts too. Spirits are separate elements. A human being doesn't have a spiritual body. A human being during his/her life time is living with many spirits which have joined one by one since birth. They are knowledge, skills, feelings, emotions, interests and everything. Further there will be always some spirits with you on behalf of your parents, friends and relatives. Only these spirits make you remember them in a certain situations. All of these spirits are your consciousnesses and memories. Even thoughts are not your own. For example, when you want to take a decision on a subject, one after another the spirits think and you just listen, choose or reject the ideas which they transmit to your mind through your brain in the form of thoughts. Brain is just a media to connect the spirits to your mind. A mind is just a computer's mind. After the destruction of a computer completely you will not get its mind. The same is the case with the human beings. Soul is nothing but an energy needed for the functionality of a body. It is not a spirit or anything else. A body's functionality is based on the auto mechanism.  After death all spirits which accompanied a person quit and go to different places searching new bodies. No one lives after death in any form and there is no afterlife. All human beings are just robots made of flesh and bones and toys of the spirits for their games.

Don't Borrow if you can't payback cheapskate

Asking for money that you are owed is not greed, it's justice.   Not repaying what you owe however, is greed and often,  it's stealing.
