Isn't it best to just go by "Anonymous" on Yahoo?

Some seem to just want to troll a person, i.e. control them, if they can follow them by name.

A lot of people have said that they will go to Quora after this site shuts down but they might not know that Quora requires its users to use their real names. You can post questions anonymously, though.

Only if you wouldn’t say something to that person directly. Me, I own every keystroke and still don’t hold back.

I ALWAYS use Anonymous.  Why give people who hate your Q and A a means to stalk and report all your posts?

I use the avatar name 'anonymous' now because my previous account was closed by Yahoo after I was apparently reported multiple times. I admit that I gave some answers that could be construed as an 'attack' on a certain group of people. However, once I received a couple violation notices about that, I was careful not to repeat that behavior. Nevertheless, someone (or someones) apparently decided to report all my answers, leading to my account termination. Yahoo never responded to my appeal email. Bottom line, as I see it, is that if you have a Google-searchable avatar name on here and/or your questions and answers lists are not set to private, you are wide open to a mass-reporting attack which can lead to your account being terminated.

The internet and Yahoo "handles" offer plenty of layers of identity protection. If someone posts using anonymous, I have to assume they are not worth reading. They are ashamed, or don't actually believe what they write.

I've noticed the majority of questions are now asked by anonymous these days.

This site has been around since before some members were born and you learn to live with it.  As you mention trolls if you can spot them are fair game as anyone else which is annoying to some. You can answer a question and get reported and your answer deleted and the next the same answer won't get deleted.  And if there is such a thing those that determine what's what knowing more about how things are run can make a difference too.
