Do your home’s natural gas pipelines connect to your sewage pipes inside your home?

NO. The gas goes through a meter and into the home to do work(heat from the furnace, hot water tank and in some cases the gas stove and the gas clothes dryer. You pay for the gas you use to use these machines(for heating cold water, or heating the house or cooking food on the stove or drying the clothes.

. Sewer lines is where waste water goes from the drains.

Natural gas and sewer gas is 2 totally different "stinks". Sewer gas in most cases, does not burn...so is useless(except for scenting up the house with a rancid smell) Natural gas has a "rotten egg odor."

Your water heater is not directly connected to any sewage lines, non of your water lines should have a direct connection.

No, they're separate pipes. The reason is that there would be a massive explosion should the methane gas found in the sewage pipes blend with the natural gas.

No. The gas goes to the water heater, or anything else that uses gas, then it's burned to produce heat and the exhaust goes out a chimney, or into your house if it's a gas stove. The gas never goes into any of the water supply pipes. If it did, you'd have natural gas coming out your kitchen faucets and into the toilet bowl. Not what's wanted. The water supply pipes don't connect to the sewer system. They only supply the water that gets used and then goes down a drain into the sewer system.
