Yahoo Answers is shutting down on 4 May 2021 (Eastern Time) and the Yahoo Answers website is now in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

One smaller problem this time but just as frustrating. Please help !!?

After getting my PC to work again with the help of some members of Yahoo Answers, and after setting the time and date, my PC now does remembers the date and time but will no longer display them in the bottom right corner on the screen, something that it always did. Also, the icons that showed a flag telling you that there are new updates waiting has disappeared. In fact the entire portion of that taskbar is blank.

Any ideas ? Thank you in advance for your help.

That now sounds like a corrupt install..

Try doing a "load defaults" in the BIOS, then check the SATA ports are set to AHCI (or at least the first bank).

Also set the power to delayed 4 seconds, to avoid accidental shutdowns.

Then re-install windows again, making sure you format C: in the process.

Install the motherboard makers system driver (INF or Chipset) as the first thing after completing the Windows install.

One of the reasons we have the feeling of, I hate my life, is because we blame to parents for all our problems rather to help to explain the elements. A human being we are very good at solving problems with few variables, that is sufficiently complex to be confusing and frustrating but not to utterly next time you find yourself caught up in your thoughts apply just one of the often shift to small and simple tasks the requires less mental horse power.
