I've asked this before but haven't got any answers.

I have a Dell Vostro laptop, The resolution is 1366x768, and it runs on Windows 7.

So, whenever I play any games on this laptop, the game appears only in a portion in the middle of the screen in the form of a square with black bars on either side.

What can I do to fix this problem?

People generally say that the solo in Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns N' Roses is one of the best, and while I do agree for a bit, it is overrated. And here comes the question:

Which solo do people talk about? Is it the first solo or the third one (before the "where do we go now section)?

I've always thought that it was the first solo, but some people have put the third one on their list of "best solos ever". So, which one is it?

Well, we'll soon upgrade our system, and I am worried mainly about the graphics card as the one we have is the worst one imaginable - an Nvidia GeForce 8300, integrated.

I don't play modern games too much, but I'm thinking of upgrading only to play such games. The best I've got is GTA IV. I think it would be nice if I could play it at a playable framerate (25-30 fps) and I'm not a guy who cares about graphics. I just want to play it at a resolution of 1024x768.

I'm thinking of getting a GeFoce GTS 450. Is this a good option?

Well, I remember nothing, just that it was Japanese. I found it on some site and was instantly attached to it. If I remember correctly, it had a 'K' and a 'Z' in its name. And the title was longer than three words. I think five.

I installed Win XP SP3 specifically for playing GTA IV, I obtained it from a friend, therefore it is not genuine, but I have encountered some problems, so is it absolutely necessary to revert back to SP2?

Here they are:

Constantly Reducing Space on the C: Drive. I noticed that it is not just dropping but fluctuating. I removed a lot of downloads from the My Documents Folder, and I also tried cleaning the drive, but it still dropped as low as 168 mb. I suspected it to be spyware, and I installed this free Anti-Spyware Software, Spyware Terminator. It detected something in the win32 folder, and denied it access The space on the C: Drive vastly increased, up to 2.21 GB, but now, it still fluctuates between 2.28 and 1.90 GB. I don't think that thing has completely gone.

And....the printer didn't work at first, but I don't exactly know...we called a technician, it worked, but later, more recently we had to restart it for it to work.

In an unrelated incident, the keyboard stopped working due to damage.

BTW, when we had SP2, the system had to always undergo disk checking at startup, it doesn't happen now unless there is a succession of inadvertent restarts.

So, my question is, is it absolutely necessary to switch back to SP2 or just reformat the system to rid it of the spyware or something?

I heard that SP3 causes problems, but I only changed to it to play GTA IV (which I have now successfully completed, except the Fixer's Assassinations) so, please help me with this judgement..........

Um........I was playing GTA IV, so, I was driving a Mr. Tasty and I got a jingle which was the opening theme, I dialled ZiT!, but the game instead cheated and gave me health and armour. I have no problem with blocked achievements, I play on a local account, on which achievements can't be achieved, but a new "cheats" section was made in my phone and it got entered into my stats. Why did this happen? I don't even know a single cheat - I was completing the game without cheats.

So, I upgraded my XP to Service Pack 3, installed everything (drivers, sound cards, network card, etc.) and settled down. Now, I try to install GTA IV (It's the retail version), and while installing disc 2, about midway through it, it says something like:

GTA IV_Dynamic

Feature transfer error - Data3.cab

Error (cyclic redundancy check)

What does this mean? Any help?

Um..........I don't seem to understand the word "Crysis". I know the meaning of "crisis", as in a dangerous situation. But what is the meaning of "Crysis"?

I know, it's an excellent FPS, I've played it, but the title doesn't make sense...........(at least to me).

I've had this game since a long time, but last time I installed it, I couldn't play it. It lagged too much. Now I installed it again and put all the settings at minimum level, and it plays normal, even though my system hardware is a little lower than the requirements.

So, I watched the intro, and right after the line in which they went to kill someone after the interrogator says "Do you remember Dragovich"?, the screen goes black and I get a mouse pointer. This also happened the last time I installed it. I can move the mouse pointer, but the game itself doesn't work - the screen remains black with the mouse pointer. I've tried reinstalling it, but it doesn't work.

So, I wanted to ask if there is any patch out there to make it work or some kind of hardware requirement lack.

To be clear, my system specifications:

RAM: 1.75 GB

OS: Microsoft XP, SP2

Graphics: nVCIDIA GeForce 8300

Processor:

AMD Athlon 7750 2.7 GHz

I know my hardware is lacking, but it still plays like normal after I set the graphic settings to low levels.

Whenever I start a game, for some time it is okay, but after a while, a sound comes from the CPU as if it is shutting down, but nothing happens, and the system suddenly slows down. If audio is playing, it is playing broken, the video is breaking, all this is happening. To know it has happened, I spin the cursor, and if it spins without any interruption, then it is OK.

I mean, it is spinning for a couple of seconds, then interrupting, then continuing....

It happens every 2-5 seconds or so.

And after I restart, it becomes OK. Even that is a long story.

The first time I restart, I get a blank screen, then it won't work until I unplug all the wires and replug them.

This problem has come recently, and it has never been before.

I even completed 2 whole games, but this has happened recently.

And I don't even have extremely low disk space.

I don't even have many games, and have only one installed.

Could it be malware, spyware, or anything such?

Or is there any other possible problem?

Any help would be appreciated.
