How do I swap my GPU out for my new one?
I have a GTX 1660 super currently installed in my PC but I will be getting a RTX 3070 tomorrow. I worry when I take out my old GPU the new one might not work without doing something in particular? I read somewhere on this site that I should uninstall the drivers from my GPU and shut down the PC. WellI don't know how to uninstall drivers and I'm sceptical of that idea because this was from a decade ago. What precautions should I take and what do I need to do to swap them out correctly?

first, download the LATEST drivers for your new card here:
nvidia.com
then, go to the Control Panel (search it on the Start Menu) and click Programs & Features. it should have a list of all programs.
uninstall anything NVIDIA.
turn off your PC and swap cards.
start up the PC and run the installer for the new card that you just downloaded.

FIRST, you read the directions that come with the new card. SECOND, if they seem beyond your capability, you hire the work done -- else, you follow the directions. Support comes from the maker's website -- not from YA since that is shutting down soon. [local shop does this all the time -- check prices] -- grampa
