Can I install tail lights from 2014 Nissan Maxima on my 2010 model?
I have a 2010 Nissan Maxima that I bought at an auction. Both tail lights are cracked, and I wanted to buy and install tail lights from a 2014 model that has better looking ones with clear lenses. Would I be able to install them or are the wiring harnesses for those two model years different? The reason I am asking is because I went on carparts.com looking for replacements, and I saw that the 14' model tail lights only fit the 12'-14' model years. I'm not sure what is so different about the tail lights that they won't fit the earlier models when they look exactly the same and have the same mounting locations on the black plastic part. It could have been a mistake on the seller's part, or not. That is why I am hoping someone can give me a definite answer before I buy tail lights that might not work on my car.

Carparts is correct. The Maxima had a change in 2012 which involved new taillights.

NO, 09-11 fit your car. The application listing is right. You could have checked different sellers to see for yourself. Which really is not a bad idea to do and it's not hard to confirm the correct application. They make different styles for all modern cars. look around. You don't have to buy the OEM looking ones.
