What's wrong...Nissan Pathfinder 2005 won't turn on until the third  time. ?

all sensors were replaced. On the third try to turn the engine, it will turn but after driving it out for a few minutes it just turns off....this is a major concern if it's on the expressway. Any help is appreciated.

Update:

This issue started once the five sensors were replaced. Starter switch seems ok, never had an issue.

Don't want a new SUV since the Pathfinder is outstanding, looks awesome and newer SUVs are so small that they look like cars in size.

Ebay has a few for several thousand dollars---5k and more for the same vehicle. Oh, it runs well and no other mechanical issues aside this one.

I guess the Pathfinder will go see a mechanic.

Sounds like low fuel pressure or something wrong with the ignition like a dying ignition module or similar item. Coils do eventually fail as do spark plugs and plug wires. You can go outside when it is dark, pop the hood start the engine, no lights, and look under the hood for any spark jumping to ground.

Time to get a new car or send it to the mechanic and he will charge you hundreds of dollars.

I have no idea what your issue is, none, whatsoever, don't have a clue. I did have a similar issue with a 2006 jeep liberty. Turned on when it wanted, often after multiple turns of the key. Nothing, no even a buzz.  Turned out to be the part between the key and the starting switch/relay whatever it is called.  I'm blanking on all the parts name but the key cylinder connected to a plastic piece, that sat in a relay of sorts, that made the electrical connections, to start and run. All of these pieces were mechanically connected around the steering column. The middle plastic piece broke, so it dd not sit in and turn that relay properly, so it would not always start, nor would it stay running all the time.
