What type of oil for 2003 pontiac vibe gt standard transmission?

The vast majority of GM cars of that time period took a synthetic blend 5w-30 type of oil,and I believe your car takes about 4.5 quarts, but you ought to check your owners manual to be absolutely sure. If you don't have it in your glove box, you should be able to find a PDF of it online.

No doubt good old 5W30. Might want to use some high mileage motor oil like Valvoline Maxlife or similar brand. Conventional, semi-synthetic, or full synthetic.
