I prefer the Cayman because it has a real roof, meaning it's quieter, stiffer, less to maintain, and it rains most of the time in Seattle where I live.

They're the same car, Boxster is a convertible.  Personally I never saw the appeal of a convertible, noisy and wind in your face.  That's just me though.

The Porsche 987 is the internal designation for the second generation Porsche Boxster.  They are one in the same, sport.

The Boxster is a Cayman without a roof. Jennifer Lawrence will be on the Boxster so it is the better car.
