how to build compression in a 400 pontiac?

    Generally you change the pistons.

    LOL By turning the key to the "start" position, each piston will start building compression.

    Take the head gasket out and deck the head

    mill the heads, get thinner head gaskets, pop-up pistons, or stroke it .....................................
