Yes! Especially true of those who think they are Christians, bt have yet to find the meaning of 'humility'.

It happens to just about every Christian . They get to a higher level and want to show-off in it . But there are much higher levels they have to go through in order to be able to stand the fiery presence of God , the Father . Tell them they aren't obeying all of Jesus' sayings yet .

People can be a snob about anything.

No because snobbery has to do with despising, ignoring, or patronizing people considered socially inferior to yourself. People who think too much of themselves make themselves into snobs.
There undoubtedly are people who are religious and who have an inflated opinion of themselves and who look down on others, but their snobbery is down to their own sinful attitudes.
I can't speak for other religions but the founder of Christianity told us to be humble, forgiving and gentle towards all, even to the extent of loving our enemies. If a person who claims to be a Christian isn't following the example of Christ, then they really should be challenged as to their professed belief.
There is no ground for feeling superior - we are all sinners and those who have been forgiven much should likewise be forgiving towards others, just us those who have received God's grace should be gracious to others.

no, not really
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

For many believers, it does.
Whether it is intellectual or eclectic in nature,
even the most subtle disdain for those who do not believe as they do ... makes many a believer very unpleasant.

Nope.
I can't think of one religion that promotes snobbery.
Not to say I haven't known some people claiming religion that are snobs. But that is just because their defect is in the area of snobbery and they haven't over come the tendency.
After all there is so much influence to be a snob a person that has tendency would be influenced.
