How buggy is Windows 10 as of March?

Ive had terrible experiences with Windows 10 back in October; My hard drive wouldnt boot because the OS said "It wasn't a registered boot drive" after I had JUST bought the laptop, the same thing with the replacement. I got a third and it worked fine until I watched a youtube video and the screen turned pure white. After 4 hours on the phone HP told me the display driver corrupted.

After that I gave up, so my question is, how buggy is it still?

Update:

EDIT: I really need a pc for video editing but I cant find anymore Windows 8.1 all I see is Windows X

Generally the only people who have issues are the ones who are clueless about what's going on. Windows 10 isn't buggy at all. If you run into driver issues, simply check for updates or go to your manufacturers website to download windows 10 drivers. As a precaution I always install windows from scratch and don't directly upgrade. You can reload a clean install of windows 10 from within windows without a disk.

Also beware the "expert" "with many years of experience" that just copypastes a rant about win 10. Guy probably think XP was good.

We are M$. Resistance is futile. Your puters and lappies will adapt to service us. We will add your technology to our own.

It was pretty good at first, but after a while I ran into some problems. That seems to be a reoccurring theme. Windows 10 has forced updates and they can install anything they want anytime they want, including new drivers. M$ has issued two major updates trying to fix ALL the bugs 10 has and have failed miserably at it. Those who try to defend this will tell you that 10 user have been given two free upgrades to a whole new OS. They even try to claim that you now have Windows 12 and not 10. LOL I can't make this stuff up, they really say that. This is called Windows as a service. What that really means is that M$ can install or delete anything it wants on your puter anytime it wants. Their attitude is, tough we now control you and your puters and there is nothing you can do about it.

With Windows 10, M$ owns your system.

YOU can no longer pick the updates you want installed.

THEY can choose which drivers are installed.

THEY can choose what THEY want on your system.

THEY even installed a backdoor in it so THEY can SPY on you at all times.

To show how bad Windows 10 really is, take a look at the chart below. They have been giving it away for free for over 9 months. It has been install on all the new systems that are sold. It only has a little less then 13% of the OS market share, LOL it is in a neck and neck with XP, 8. That speaks volumes on just how bad 10 really is.

I find that people who are blinded by loyalty to M$ know little about Windows 10 and the spyware in it. They base their opinion on second hand knowledge and propaganda spread by M$

The link below has plenty of lappies with Windows 7 installed on them.

Source(s): TWB 35+ years of experience in the service industry. You name it, I have probably fixed it. I did not design it, I did not build it, I did not break it, but I am the one who can fix it. What that means is that I have spent a life time taking these things apart and seeing how they are made. The difficult we do right away, the impossible just takes a little longer. I hear voices, so please be quiet so I can listen to them.

I have had Win 10 since last July and never had a single issue.

I've upgraded well over 100 computers at my company to Win10 and no issues.

The issues I've seen with users have been some sort of incompatibility between a hardware device of theirs and Win 10. In most cases it was resolved with the Win 10 driver. In some cases it wasn't fixable because the hardware manufacturer did not release a Win 10driver.

If you make sure your hardware is compatible before you upgrade you shouldn't have any issues.

I didn't experience any bugs with windows 10 since I first upgraded when the official upgrade went live (not beta or anything). I have since replaced my old computer with another Windows 10 and not had any problems with it.

Cortana is, as always, a bit ditsy and the taskbar doesn't always work when an upgrade has downloaded but not installed, other than that it's a very smooth and reliable OS in my experience.

In my opinion, I don't think anything is wrong with Microsoft Windows 10.

I use the most recent versions of Microsoft Windows.

Currently the most recent version of Microsoft Windows is Microsoft Windows 10. I am using Microsoft Windows 10, and it seems fine to me.

The problem I see is with people's empty heads. Many people have empty hollow heads.

Wow! You think Microsoft Windows is a good operating system, for video editing. No! Your mistaken. Even if your problem gets fixed, you are going nowhere with what you want to do.

I recommend you buy the latest mac, and forget about Microsoft Windows.

Mac has good software that is used to edit videos.

Your problem might be difficult, for you to fix. If you carefully read, and I quote "It wasn't a registered boot drive", what this means is your computer is not booting properly, or maybe something isn't properly installed, and, or configured.

I am wondering if you're trying to boot from another device, or maybe your computer isn't properly recognizing your drive, or your operating system. You might need to buy a new drive that is compatible with your computer, and then configure, format, partition, and then install all of the drivers that you will need.

I suggest, for you to make sure nothing is plugged into your computer. If you have any cd's, dvd's, or flash drives etc., then take it out from your machine.

I suggest, for you to check your computer's boot priority.

Maybe your computer is trying to boot with a different device.

Maybe your operating system was installed wrong on your drive. If there is something wrong with the operating system, then this might cause problems. Try using a genuine Microsoft Windows 10 cd to install Microsoft Windows 10 on your drive. Maybe your operating system was formatted, and partitioned wrong.

I can only speculate based on the information you gave. I think it's possible you might have a different problem with your computer.

It's not. You had issues not related to Windows 10. I've upgraded over 100 computers at this point and haven't had a single failure. Only 1 of those devices needed a sound driver.

Any "issues" you read about are based around people who don't like MS, and have no clue what they are talking about. The Windows 10 upgrade path is by far the best one MS has every done in terms of reliable upgrade with no issues.

There have been 2 major builds of Windows 10 released since then so you might want to give it a try after you clone the hard drive. If anything goes wrong with the upgrade you can always restore from the clone like nothing happened.
