Best Windows computer for video editing?

Im open to all types of computers that are within the $800-900 range. Specifically 1080p video is what I want and for After Effects to not lag. Thank you

You actually don't need a latest-greatest video card for video editing, you need all the CPU horsepower you can get, and 8Gb RAM is a tight fit for video.

An i7 or 8 core AMD, 16Gb RAM, any video card that can display 1080p video (a $150 NVidia GTX 750 is plenty) multiple TB of hard drive space (hd's are cheap now, no reason to skimp here) and if your motherboard supports it, 1 drive for OS and programs and then 2-3 drives setup as a video array. This uses large sectors and drive striping to increase read/write speed for video work. But if that is going overboard for you, a 2-4 TB storage drive at least, plus maybe 1TB for OS and other uses. You should be able to do that within your budget without too much effort.

Video Card and CPU are your priorities

RAM is next, though for that we're talking 8GB or more and 8GB is standard.

Hard Drive space will be important, but its best to keep your work separate from the machine, so USB connected drives later are better than a large hard disk now.

I recommend two to three year old engineering workstations. Half your budget should be a video card.
