when building a building use recycle materials like recycle glass, recycle glass tiles, stones, place a roof green house that will balance off the emissions you did use during construction. if the job is labour intensive it will be more eco friendly eg. using a man to saw board instead of using an electrical power saw. if you are building a plant that makes chemicals like bleach then this can get into your water table and kill people. try and have insulated ponds where the excess water goes into and this is then purified and then released in to the natural environment. with gas emissions it is law in the EU that plants have insulated their chimneys to reduce the escape of gas into the air. in trinidad we burn off the gas so ther is a fire coming out of the chimney so that what is poisonous does not go into the air, only carbon dioxide is released.

your question is extremely vague. if you want to reduce emissions, then you need to stop energy usage. THAT is your issue. emissions are a production of energy consumption. in order to reduce energy consumption, you need to buy more energy efficient tools. if you turn off equipment that isn;t immediately being used you save on emisions. AMEN
