portable wind power generators?

Is it possible to install a portable wind power generator of small capacity in a gallery? Our gallery gets a good wind almost 20 hours a day.It can help to run our PC,TV and one or two lights. Where can we enquire ? and what it can cost ?

    Gallery? Art gallery? Balcony?

Balcony makes the most sense, so I'll go under that assumption.

Depends on how big a wind turbine you have space for. The Honneywell WT6500 is one example that is about 6 feet across and weighs 400 pounds. This would generate about 500 watts and cost about $10000.

Smaller ones that generate about 200 watts are available. Perhaps 2 to 5 thousand dollars.

Does your balcony have that space, and can it support that weight?

    learn about electricity

voltage VOLTS, Current AMPS, power Watts

and the energy available in wind at given speed

wind turbines need VERY large areas of propeller to capture enough energy or produce much power.

the cost depends on the comparison to other sources of electricity. electricity is fairly cheap but the cost to run power lines to distant places can be very high

how big is the gallery ? and the spinning blades would be a danger to anyone who would be hit by them.

the whole world needs power. one human can produce only about 100-200 watts working as hard as they can spinning a generator. Human muscle power is worth about $0.50 US. because so much electricity is produced by burning coal and oil. that human power is meaningless.

as "small' wind generator might produce a few tens of watts unless the blades were tens of feet, (meters) across.

the secret to lights is to get the expensive new LED ( light emitting diode) that produce the most light for the least power

the old hot wire light bulbs mostly make heat and are very 'power hungry"

TV take a few hundred watts, look on the lable volts, amps and and watts

    1 watt = 1 volt times 1 amp

a cooking device uses about 1500 watts

    a reading light 60 ( old) 13 (Flourescent) or 5 LED

you can do it must you need to do it right. contact a local electric expert

gas generators might procuce 3,000 watts but use a great deal of expensive gasoline

development First of finally end up a huge motor (like those in transportable air conditioners) then discover some fan blades and stick them to transferring section of the motor utilising connect the wires popping out of motor to plug of your gadget one to each and each metallic rod in the plug take your wind powered gadget exterior on a windy day and WAALLAA
