But ' goods' is mentioned as plural of 'good' in the dictionary instead of treating it as a separate word. Why?

there is such a thing as a good, an item that is to be traded or sold. it is just rarely used. generally speaking, a person that has one good has many goods. if there is only one particular good, one particular trade item, it is common to simply call it by its name or to use the term item instead of goods.

a warehouse is used for storing goods. if the warehouse is used for storing a single good, like dates or refrigerators, you normally would say the warehouse is used to store dates (specifically, and not just a general good) or refrigerators.
