    Friend,

After doing VEDA VIBHAAGAM and writing, Mahabharatam, Brahma Sutras etc, VEDA VYAASA was sitting in a dejected mood in the Ashram.

Then NAARADA came there and asked why VedaVyaasa was like that.

Vyaasa expressed the dissatisfaction in his mind and , said ''I do not know the reason for UNREST ''

Narada said'' Vyaasa Maharshi, you did VEDA VIBHAAGAM and MAHABHARATAM and BRAHMA SUTRAS .

Narada said '' ANY KAAVYAM WITHOUT NAARAAYANA SANKEERTANAM IS NO KAAVYAM.So you have not done so far that,Now you write the Naraaayana Leelas and do Naraayana sankeertanam and his leelas and you will be eternally happy''

Then motivated by NARADA Vyasa Bhagawaan wrote SREEMADBHAAGAVATAM which prasises krishna and did the sankeertanama of hari in so many ways.further he wrote DEVI BHAGAVATAM TOO.after that Veda Vyasa was EVER HAPPY.''

its all in one book ..

when everything has been said and done should not one summarize briefly ?

vyasa was a great teacher and an incarnation of Narayana as per bhagavatham so until a teacher reapeats how will all student understand ? ..it is a must for a teacher to at least summarize all teachings .that exactly what he has done

    SOME MORE ABOUT BHAGAVATHAM

in the bhagavath Gita Sri Krishna talks so much in depth about karma yoga, bhakthi, jnanam ..etc etc in bhagavatham all this is shown practically through examples from history of the universe as per sanathana dharma

Srimad bhagavatham is a book for persons who have undergone extreme difficulties and have given up all hope ..it wakes them up and urges them to continue with life with joy and bliss .

it is the best as it speaks of the highest goal .It shows through examples like that of athri muni ,dhruva maharaja ,prahlada, king prithu and others that through steadfast focus on the work itself become yajna

and it also shows one who hankers for self enjoyment who undertake works just for their own sake end up as the worst kind of scum asuras like raavan, kumbhakaran etc because their work was done to get themselves something and not contribute to the society .

it shows the bhakthi of the devtas ,the elephant gajendra, prahalada, dhruva etc

in the 11th skandham again Sri Krishna explains the highest truth as expounded in the Gita to Sri uddhava ..so it contains everything to guide us in a practical way to peace and happiness ....if we live as per it ..

If it was his intention to write it as the final literature then he clearly failed as much has been written since.
