How to get permanent residency in Abroad? :-?

Can someone please tell me how to migrate & get PR in countries like USA, Canada, Denmark, Netherlands, New Zealand & Australia.

We are in Sri Lanka & my boy friend is planning to go abroad for work & get PR before we marry & move in.

He (27) is working as a Senior Software Engineer (C#.NET) in a Norway based company called Exilesoft (Pvt) Limited here in Sri Lanka.

He has 3 & 1/2 years of experience including on-site experience in Norway.

He is a graduate of BSc in IT (Hons) in Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology & is currently following a Msc in IT in the same institute (1st year completed).

Furthermore he has successfully completed following professional examinations.

MCP

MCTS - .NET Framework 2.0 Web application development

MCTS - .NET Framework 3.5 WPF application development

SCJP - jdk 1.4.1

I'm (23) a final year undergraduate of BIT in University of Colombo School of Computing with no work experience.

Getting PR in countries like UK, US, Canada is very tough and have only 50% of chances, go for European countries and you can also choose Australia and New Zealand. Getting PR is easy in New Zealand it is point base programme.. if you go on student visa it will be more easier.. one year course and then one year open work visa and it also offers students dependent spouse visit visa and while working spouse can also work their. Once you complete the course and get work visa you need to find a job which is relevant to your course studied. Then you can be eligible for applying for PR. PR needs totally 120 points.. I will tell you how you can get points.

Education Level 7 programme in NZ gives you 60 points

Age below 30 gives you 30 pionts

Relevant job gives you 50 points

and spouse qualification and job also adds some points so, u will be eligible for PR..

Each country is different. Some are easy and others impossible. If they have a consulate nearby, you should make an appointment and visit it. If not, then go to their official websites and print out the forms. You can apply for jobs, but be sure to tell them that you will need work authorization. Many companies will not want to be bothered and will not consider you, but you could find one that does and will do everything for you. You won't know if you can migrate unless you apply.

Hi, Your BF does have two options; He can (A) Migrate to Canada or (B) Migrate to UK.

Application can be made under "Skilled Worker Category" to Canada and under "Highly skilled / Tier 1 General immigrant" category to UK as per the details you have mentioned. - The immigration rules are based on point, such as you earn points for age, earnings, education, savings and IELTS.....

The process time to Canada if you are applying from Srilanka is between 8 to 10 months and to UK is between: 2-3 months.

Below are the Canada and UK migration useful links, however please note that your earnings part in the country needs to be calculated differently and you can score more points: Please do some research based on this information:

    Link for Canada: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/ind...

    Link for UK: http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply/infs/inf21...

Note: In both the countries, you do not require to show a job offer or a sponsership. Self application on his/her own ability.

All the best - don't forget to rate my answer :-)))
