IPL-3: Is there a chance of any player earning both Orange & Purple caps?

If so,Which one will he wear and when?

Update:

Yes,it is almost impossible. But there are a few who can come close.

Update 2:

Though this may not happen in IPL 3,it is bound to happen in future,at least in the early stages of any future IPL series.

Good to see your Q karikalan. This is the first one I saw from you and very good Q.

Well.It can only be possible if he is an allrounder and very good one.Players in strong contention are Sanath Jayasuriya and Angelo Mathews.Yusuf and Kallis can be too if they keep bowling well and get wickets as their batting looks good at the moment.

It's an open choice but I think a specialist bowler and specialist batsman has more chances than the allrounders at the moment.

The only one came close was Shane Watson in first IPL tournament but the rules says most runs as batsman and most wickets in tournament as bowler. So a allrounder have to do consistently well throughout the tournament in both batting and bowling to keep ahead of others,so a very difficult task but not impossible. It could be interesting though if an allrounder gets both caps.

Q:If it happens so, then I think it depends upon his primary interest, batting or bowling which he is more interested in and does well,I suppose.

We have lot of matches remaining so its a possibility. It can be Angelo Mathews, Jaques Kallis but my personal favourite is Dwayne Bravo from MI.

Jaques Kallis or Angelo Mathews are the only possible candidates. My pick is........ Kallis,he's the current orange cap holder, another 3-4 games if he's able to pick up wickets................ there you go : )

Well Flintoff or Kallis could go ahead and achieve the impossible. But Flintoff is unfortunately not in this version.

If som1 can do this then that some1 will be Kallis who is best contender for both Orange and Purple cap.. None other can him reach at this mark...

i think of the utmost wicket taker would desire to be provided with orange wrist band....wrist band sounds good. isn't it? This grow to be suggested with the help of Montitude and that i individually beloved the assumption! The bowler could additionally placed on the band mutually as bowling! yet pink hat theory is likewise good.....it would motivate the bowlers to do nicely!
