A Record Win or a Great Escape?

What do you expect?

Update:

Both teams should be weary of losing from this position.

The team that (or person who)makes the first mistake will remember it for long,

Update 2:

Will the first session reveal the trend or will it be a cliff hanger till the end?

Update 3:

Great escape to England after the sporting declaration, when they win.

Update 4:

A record win points to Australian Win.

A great escape refers to England Win after a big fright of losing.

Update 5:

Haddin made the mistake and so soon, to turn the game away.

Or,is it Flintoff who drove the first nail?

Update 6:

An Escape finally.Though comfortable at the end,England had a few scares at the start.

The bowlers are fresh, the ball is still fairly new and the batsmen will need time to get in. I can't see them surviving. I can't see even England blowing this one but nothing surprises me anymore!

It will be a record defeat for Australia and their inept captain..... first loss at Lord's in the long history of last 75 years!! The new ball bowlers, namely Flintoff and Andersen, would most likely finish it off before lunch.

It is an opportunity though for Australia to prove that a bit of champion stuff is still left in them.

Have to back this one being a cliffhanger. I think this ones on Clarke, if he leaves to much to do beyond Johnston, England will win.

I guess their the possibility that if Clarke and Johnston fail, Haddin will start swinging could be over a little after lunch, either way!!

Ill lean towards a record win.... (heart maybe not head) assuming that means Australia.....

Whoever wins the first hour wins the match ... kinda.

Even if the Aussies do win that first hour they will still have to fight hard. However, if they lose 2 wickets in that period then the match is England's.

  • what record win for England, they are only about 200 runs ahead, go read the record books.

The only team that can ahve a record win is Australia, and if they do it then the Ashes are theres, it will be majorly demoralising for england.

It will either be a record win(have my doubts though) or a pride and glory in defeat for historic fight. I do not foresee any great escape.
