Windows Paint program not working?

When i attempt to open windows paint, it says "There is not enough memory or resources to complete operation. Close some programs, and try again." Is there any way to fix this? i have tried to use the task manager to close some programs that are running that i am not using, but it doesnt seem to work. i have 79 processes running (used to be 90) and 45% of physical memory (used to be 51%) being used. (this is all displayed in the task manager when i click ctrl alt delete) and it still comes up with this alert. is there a simple way to fix this? if not, is there a similar program of paint on a mac? i have both apple and windows, but couldnt seem to find a program of any use. thanks

Update:

the computer is only a year old. when i bought it, it had 300GB on her, now she has about 213Gb on the C drive and 2.21GB on the D drive (the D drive had 11 GB to start). the processor is Intel Core 2duo with 1.83GHz. not sure if that helps, but i didnt think i would have to buy more RAM with all of this left.

Buy more RAM for your PC. A simple and cost effective solution.

EDIT: Your additional details are hogwash. Just because you have good components for everything else does not mean you can skimp on RAM. Quality (of parts) does not compensate for quantity (of RAM) in this case and vice versa. A fast CPU doesn't make up for puny RAM in any way.

you have gotten positioned it on your recycle bin. all you ought to do is circulate into your recycle bin and click restoration all courses. if thats no longer wahat surpassed off you ought to circulate into the administration panel and seek 'for courses or folder' (because it says on my pc) and click restoration or drag it onto the laptop. wish i helped. solid success.
