Which cricketeer in the history of the game has faced maximum number of overs, standing as wicket keeper?
We have records for maximum no. of runs, wickets, catches and stumpings etc. Who has stood for the maximum no. of overs as wicket keeper in ODIs and Tests?

I would say, and I have no proof, that Mark Boucher of South Africa has stood wicket in more test overs than any other. Alec Stewart played more tests but wasn't a wicket keeper to start with. Ian Healy has played more tests than Adam Gilchrist so I think that rules out Gilly. Boucher & Healy have almost the same amount of tests to their names so it would be tight but the fact that the Aussies were more dominant in Healy's era than the Boks are now with Boucher, the Aussies probably won quite a few tests by an Innings thus Healy would only stood wicket once in a test. My vote for most overs behind the stumps would be for Mark Boucher of South Africa.

Not exactly test cricket...but I can't resist telling my story. In 1964 (pretty sure that was the year), while playing for the Cambridge High School 2nd XI (New Zealand) always as wicket-keeper, being the captain I decided to give up the pads in the second innings and have a bowl. Took 9 wickets for 4 runs, 2 of which were overthrows.

It could be Boucher because Gilly was good keeper but most of Aussies matches finish soon. But proteas matches dont end soon.So Boucher.
