In the recent past and at present only few Batsmen tend to play' Fine Leg Glance' ,technically why?

Batsmen play more sweep shots to Fine Leg .We miss Gavaskar's treat inthis finer aspects of cricket as Opener against Pace bowling.

FINE LEG GLANCE IS A CLASSICAL CRICKEGT SHOT PLAYED MOSTLY BY THE PAST LEGENDS.It is a shot which uses the pace of the ball, therefore it should be timed very well to get the maximum. But,today cricketers are more used of playing basebal shots rather than cricketing shots.

    u r right

i think this is because a technical shot like leg glance can get u runs only some times and their r more chances of lbw if u miss ur shot.Sweep is a finer shot which can even bring u a six
