Some people have nausea and they feel dizzy if they study/read something while travelling in a car or any other vehicle. why does this happen, any specific explanation? I am a victim of this illness, help!!!

Is there any cure, without consulting a doctor?

Motion sickness occurs when repetitive small movements mean the brain is sent mixed messages. The eyes say one thing about the position of the body, while the delicate inner ear balance mechanisms are reporting something different. This confusion usually results in feelings of nausea, sometimes vomiting and becoming sweaty.

If the sufferer is old enough they should sit in the front of the car where they can get a clear view of the road. Young children should be put in the back seat where they can see the road. Sometimes using a booster cushion helps.

Try and avoid looking down into your lap. Reading or games that encourage concentrating downwards should be left until the journey is over. Singing along to music or playing games that encourage looking ahead helps prevent problems. Make sure the car is well ventilated, too.

Ask the driver to take bends gently, not to keep accelerating and then slowing down repeatedly, and to stop for a break and a stretch regularly (at least once an hour) throughout the trip.

Avoid heavy meals and alcohol before travelling.

    Keep still with eyes closed.

Anti-sickness medicines from the pharmacist. These should be taken before travel according to the instructions so they have a chance to be absorbed into the body. Most either contain hyoscine or the antihistamine cinnarizine.

In finishing I saw a T.V show recently that said sucking on a lemon helps. The bitterness tricks the brain into repressing the dizzyness and sickly feeling..

    Good luck

I too have this problem. I end up in vomitting invariably during a journey uphill. An avomine tablet as helped me a lot. But if you are a regular traveller, then I advice you can also try flower medicine 3.4 pills (they will be very small similar to homeopathic medicines) "Schleranthus" half an hour before your journey. It is extremely effective.

It is a symptom of motion sickness. My son had this badly until he found ginger. He used to nibble a slice just before a trip and during if he started to feel bad. If you cant stand the taste then you can by ginger in tablet form.

sure, there's a reason behind reason. The human recommendations apparently works otherwise than the different creature. we anticipate of in words of "if this, and if that, then end." that is termed a syllogism, and we received't destroy out utilizing them because our minds are problematical stressed to apply them--256 of them, no extra, no a lot less. you won't be able to imagine outdoors of that "field" because there's no "outdoors". no matter if you come back up with a very new idea that no human being else has ever considered, you probably did it utilizing a chain of a few of those 256 syllogisms. This utilization is what we call "reason". yet "rationality" is in a good number of cases defined as "perfect use" of reason, or as "sound reasoning". "Sound" potential not purely valid questioning, yet questioning which could be said as "authentic" in accordance to time-honored ideas, or formerly time-honored information or truths, or of something which looks "self-obtrusive". purely 15 of those 256 syllogisms are "valid". no matter if the valid argument you take advantage of is "sound" is yet another count number. i can make a valid case for the existence of unicorns; besides the undeniable fact that it won't be able to be a "sound" argument because they don't exist.

You may have to wear glasses. And reading in a moving vehicle will worsen it. Visit your ophthalmologist.
