Please name the best community colleges in Illinois, it would be good if it's not far from the city or even Lincoln wood. I have heard of Wilbur wright college. But does it offer all program? Hopefully I will be pursuing my career in medicine.

Also, after a year, will I be able to transfer my credits to a university?

I have completed my high school. I will be shifting to US by next month. I would like to know the list of universities in which I can enroll throughout the year. Also, it should be public university as the private ones have too many expenses.

If not, then will I get admission in a community college in between, so that later on I can transfer.

If its 2, then why is did you went there wrong! How can two words in past tense be in a single sentence. I feel like it's the first one, but it doesn't sound as right as the 2nd one does.

I am completing my senior year & still unable to decide which profession to choose. I need to make up my mind before choosing my major in uni.

Which is more valuable & reputed profession- being a Harvard University professor or a general physician or a lawyer ?

Please advice, I am interested in sciences...mainly bio & even literature. I don't want to work more than 40hours a week so I don't prefer being a surgeon (although I always wanted to be one)

It's just the long hours of work. I am fine studying for years in Med school, but I heard surgeons have to work 70-80 hours in a week in US.

I am still thinking which profession I am suppose to choose. I think I'll go with medicine, cuz thats all I can think of & thats all on my mind.

So, I heard dermatologist do not have late night shifts like cardiologists & neurologists do, is that true?

Which other surgeons do not have late night shifts or don't have to work damn hard ?!

And can a dermatologist treat from skin cancer to acne to hair loss to sweat gland prob blah blah... is that all what a dermatologist does OR is it like there is a certain one for all types like one for cancer & another for acne etc. Is it ?

And plzz tell me which is the most interesting field in medicine ?

Hey everyone!

I am lost! I have been reading these stacks of books on jobs & careers. I don't know what to become, even though I have known about thousands of jobs until now, the only thing that comes to my notice is SURGEON. I don't wanna become a general physician, cuz I don't like just prescribing & all. I wanna do some... like more practical. I have done some dissections of animals when I was in grade 10 & find it interesting, but I think it will be harder on humans & freaky in the beginning.

So, What I wanna know....

I would study for 12 or 16... the years required to become a surgeon, but does studying mean like I have to be behind books for like 12hours a day or spend a lot of time behind them? Is it possible... I can study an hour a day & study more before exams & complete the course ?

I want time for family & myself, I don't want to work late at night. I want to have a social life & a job in which I don't do the same thing everyday... I don't like repetitive tasks. I want something that includes being creative & social.

But the thing is, since I was a kid... I had this ambition of becoming a doctor & now that I've grown up, I hear about the struggle & confused what to do.

Reasons why I want to become a doctor - its beneficial for me & my family's health, I like helping people, its a daring thing to do a surgery (not everyone is capable), its a reputed profession & offers great salary for surgeons.

Plzzz advice me! ALL that you know, just tell plz. Its not about being selected as a best answer by answering long or short, just be honest & advice for the sake of helpin!

I have always studied sciences and have an aim to become a surgeon. But it seems doctor's life is way too pressurizing, many people advice that if you want fun & time in your life, then don't be a doc.

I don't want a pressurized and serious life. I don't know what to be... also I heard it takes too many years in some countries in order to become a specialized surgeon.

Is there any high profession in medicine that has a lot of value... but doesn't take several years?
