I just bought a minolta srt 202 at an antique shop, but it didn't come with any lenses. This is the first camera I've ever owned and I have no idea what kind/size/brand of lenses I can use on it. Am I only restricted to minolta lenses? Or can I use any SLR lens? If not, are there any sort of adapters which will give me this functionality? I'm looking for the absolute cheapest lens possible so I can at least start taking simple shots.

I'm planning on building a simple wooden cart, capable of carrying a 200lb person over asphalt and possibly dirt roads. It can be either 24V or 36V and I know that would require 2 or 3 12V lead-acid batteries, which will add to the weight. I can get two 350W motors on eBay for around $30 each, but I don't know if 700W will be enough. Speed isn't much of an issue, and I wouldn't mind having to gear them down for around 20mph.

tl;dr Is 700W enough for an adult go-cart?

I'm planning on putting together a little project, but am unsure whether soldering would set off my smoke alarm. I currently reside in a dorm, so setting it off may get me into some trouble. If it makes a difference, I have a large window, and turning on the a/c will most likely blow anything out of it.

It always annoys me when I see people on the phone while driving, especially since it's against the law here in California. I was wondering if I can shoot videos of people doing this on my iphone (when I'm a passenger, of course) and then send the videos to the local authorities. Would this be considered vigilantism?

I was thinking of making a solar charger for my iPod touch, and I was wondering what exactly my limits are on electricity. I think I read that a USB port outputs 5V at 500mA, and that lower amperage would cause the ipod to charge more slowly. Would a higher amperage cause it to charge more rapidly? or is there a max? I assume the max voltage is 5V, so I will use a 5V voltage regulator, but can less voltage be used resulting in a slower charge?

I was wondering that if I was to make a hypothetical AM transmitter ( 1Mhz) that I can carry in a backpack, what can I hypothetically use as an antenna that can be stuffed into a backpack?

Hi I have the DV5z with the ATI Radeon(TM) HD 3200 GPU and I would like to know if I could connect a 22 inch monitor 1680 X 1050 to it. Would it be able to support a monitor that big at that resolution? What about a 24 inch monitor at 1920 x 1200? im looking to use my laptop as a tower and connect an external monitor/keyboard/and mouse to it. What do you guys think.

Type in Zip Code "93235" and look what I mean. I can see all the channels except 5.1 and 7.1. My antenna is a TERK TV5 which supports VHF

Can I use a splitter on a powerfull outdoor UHF antenna? Will i be able to use the signal from this antenna and watch 4 different tv's at the same time? Do i need to buy an amplifier? Basically 1 antenna to 4 tv's? - Thanks!

Does anyone know if the couches in the suites at mandalay bay convert into beds? A friend of mine wants to tag along. I don't know what suite we will be staying in because its a surprise. But i am pretty sure its the 1500X2 suite. Do you know if the other suites might have this? -thanks
