The school's Principal says that it is not the school's responsiblity to issue uniform. The uniforms are not available in shops outside. However, it is mandatory for students to wear uniform to school. As the uniforms are given in school, there is a lot of trouble for parents who have to keep visiting school, as per the schedule of the people supplying the uniforms, to purchase them. The school shrugs responsibility of even giving proper information as to those schedules and the parents are directed to contact these uniform people. Are there laws in India excluding the schools from taking responsibility for (1) Transport- when the school bus has the school's name painted across it, and (2) Uniform- when they are not available outside. Is it mandatory for CBSE schools in India to have uniforms? Would appreciate if answers are accompanied with reference to relevant sections of Indian laws.
