I love yahoo answers because it makes me think. Most of my questions, I start off asking, just to see what everyone will say, not because I don't have an answer of my own. But most of the time, by the time I've read and thought about all the responses, chosen a best answer and made some comments, my thoughts have become clearer, my opinions more developed. I enjoy that and find it valuable.
Is every one of us loveable ?
16 AnswersPhilosophy3 months agoConcerning the value of collectable ceramic figurines?
I've unintentionally acquired fifty three Memories of Yesterday ceramic figurines. I want to sell them. After several hours of trying to determine what they're worth, I'm still having trouble. I noticed that some figurines, that are otherwise identical, have various stamped letters, and printed information on their undersides. I don't know what they signify. If anyone that's reading this can provide information or a useful suggestion, I'd appreciate it.
1 AnswerSculpture10 months agoSatan is the master of lies, yes? What if some of the words that are accepted as gospel, are actually Satan's lies?
How diabolical would it be if Satan convinced, and incited, the people of the world to have a massive all out war, thereby transforming Earth into a poisonous wasteland? What if it was Satan that said, "Be fruitful and multiply." knowing what overpopulation would do? What if Satan is the one that promised that Jesus would return and that, after Armageddon, He would restore the Earth to a paradise? What if Satan knew that people would be much less willing to destroy Mother Earth if they knew She could never be restored?

4 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 year agoHow would you label, or describe, a system in which individuals, and localized groups, provide for themselves everything that they need.?
I realize there would be challenges to overcome in establishing and maintaining such a system. I'm not, at this time, asking what those challenges would be, or how they could be dealt with.

14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 year agoI'd like the advice of a nutritionist. I want to eat as few types of food as possible, and still get proper nutrition. ?
I want to eat two or three meals (or perhaps four or five snacks) daily: each meal being of only a single type of food. By "single type" I mean, not something like a casserole or a pizza; I mean more like just mushrooms, just cheese, just bread, etc. I know bread has several ingredients, but stuff with just a few ingredients, like bread, would be okay. I'm thinking of something like a banana for breakfast, cottage cheese for lunch, and cashews for dinner one day, eggs for breakfast, broccoli for lunch, and bread for dinner the next day, etc. I might be okay with a vegan, or some similar, diet, but I don't require it. I'd like it to be as inexpensive as possible, and I'd like it to require as little preparation as possible. I'd rather get all my nutrients from the food, but I'm willing to take a supplement or two. Deliciousness is not a requirement.
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 year agoShould a president be a divisive force? Shouldn't a president be trying to unite people, and get them wanting to work together?
United we stand? Divided we fall? Do you think that the people that want us to fall are dancing around gleefully and rubbing their hands together?
7 AnswersPolitics1 year agoSince the recent format change, Y!A hasn't functioned properly on my iPad. Can this problem be fixed?
My iPad is a bit old (7yo, or so). Y!A is functioning properly, as far as I can tell so far, on my phone, but I prefer using my iPad.
Yahoo Groups1 year agoYou people, here on Y!A, and people everywhere, are exchanging statements; is it sometimes like this?
though with statements, people voice quite a lot of what they think and what they mean, little of what's meant is understood. Is this communication? Do you know what they mean? Do they know what you mean? Do you want to understand? Do you want to be understood? Do you want to communicate? Why would somebody not want to communicate? Why would counterparts be unable to communicate?
