  • Where can I get Copic Markers and other Art Supplies in Taipei, Taiwan?

I'm going to be there most of next week. I've looked in (other) online resources but have come up a cropper. I'm looking for an art supplies store, or I'm guessing even a Manga/ Otaku, whatever they call it, store which supplies markers and other art material.

  • what are the best taxi services to rent from Kodai Road to Kodaikanal for a few days and back?

We're planning to visit Kodaikanal sometime this June. The most comfortable options seems to be to train it to Kodai Rd and then use the road. We want a vehicle which will pick us up from Kodai Road, stay with us for 3 days in Kodaikanal and then drop us back to kodai road on the 3rd evening. We're looking for a clean, courteous and reliable service in something like an Innova/ Xylo, or am air conditioned Sumo. Any links or numbers to services used in the past, info on expected costs per day, etc would be much appreciated.

  • Does the construction of an apartment in Bangalore depreciate?

I'm trying to guage the difference between an indepedent house and an apartment. Most of the apartments I've seen are less than three years old. I'm wondering what happens if I invest in an apartment, and want to see it after 15years. I expect the construction would have degraded. Does the value of construction depreciate after initial occupation? How do I assess this?

For an independent house, is the cost of constuction taken into account during (second) sale at all? or it is just the market value of the property + whatever can be salvaged i.e. marble flooring + teak doors and so on?

  • Could you recommend an opensource CMS for a visual arts and consultancy website?

We're developing a site for a company which straddles arts, design and consulting, and will need a site which covers similar content to www.accenture.com, www.frogdesign.com, www.capgemini.com, www.avenuea-razorfish.com/. Which opensource CMS would you recommend? I've noticed that some CMS's come with rigid UI and navigation. How difficult is it to change this to a custom interface design?

  • Crankshaft - Blade protective assembly for lawn mowers?

Hi, I'm trying to put together my own lawn mower for pulling behind my 35hp old tractor. I'm from India and nobody makes powered tow-able mowers here. I have a 12hp diesel engine from an old pump which I can mount onto a deck. My family's property has very tall grass but also has hidden rocks. I wanted to know,

    1. what's the best way to make sure that the blade or crankshaft do not get damaged when the blade hits a rock?

    2. I'll import 20"+ blades, what are the best mulching and regular cutting blades you recommend?

    3. How do you adjust cutting height? In some areas we want it tall, at others a close cut. Is this done at the crankshaft spindle, or

    4. What's a recommended cutting RPM? I'll need this to decide if I have to gear or pulley down the speed from engine RPM or take a direct drive.

  • How is the new Tata Indigo Marina?

There was a facelift recently, but the vehicle still has the same engine as before (Or is there a change?). How would you compare the diesel version in terms of ride and handling, drive quality, etc with other cars in the same price bracket - the petrol Getz, Swift, AND other diesels like the Accent CRDi and the Fiesta TDCi.

When do you think Tata's will launch the Indigo and Marina DiCor common rail diesels?

  • When will Tata's launch a Direct Injection version of their Diesels?

Tata's have been announcing common rail (DiCor) since August this year, but understandably that may take some time or may not be released at all because of a high price tag (which would compete with their new partner, Fiat). Recently I heard that a Direct Injection Turbo (Like the Skoda) is on the way. Direct Injection would be smoother and more efficient. Any ideas about when it will be launched?

  • When will Tata's launch CRDi/ DiCOR variants of the Indica/Indigo?

They announced in June that CRDi/ DiCor variants of their smaller vehicles would be released starting August 2006 and ending Jan 2007 on all variants. Instead they've relaunched the indigo with the same insipid engine and a sick facelift, though I'm happy to see that Putrid smile go.

  • When will Mahindra launch the new 2.2 liter scorpio?

I heard that M&M are launching a 'lighter' scorpio with a smaller engine. Presumably this will be cheaper as well. Do you know when this launch is likely to happen, and at what price?
