What is the baby doing? Not responding within my womb?

My baby has been moving. It's only once he responded to me directly by poking eachother from our sides. He has been moving. I haven't constantly kept that up for while since. I understand he's sleeping now. When he was awake he didn't respond trying poking like we did. I'm not sure what position he had to be able to poke back, but it was in the middle. Does that matter? I need to poke else where?

As long as you are feeling movement, it doesn't matter if the baby is poking back when you try to push or poke to get a response.

The baby responding to you while in the womb means nothing about how your baby will connect or respond to you once the baby is born.Try this - when you feel the baby kick - you push back at the point the baby kicked at to see if you can get another kick.

If you have more than a day without feeling movement - contact your doctor.

You can also talk to your doctor about how much movement is normal for your stage of pregnancy so that you would know how much activity to expect from your baby right now.
