Is Google taking over Yahoo?

Is Google search engine more popular than Yahoo just because of almost everything in Yahoo including messenger and yahoo! Answers shutting down? Google won’t take over Yahoo will it? After all Google owns Youtube right? You can’t see YouTube shutting down next?

    Not really. They have a new Google chat and many other update but not true.

    No. Verizon has already taken over Yahoo a few years back.

    When I first started using the internet there was no google and yahoo was at the time the best search engine.  This was a time where any search you did the top result was whichever company had paid the most to get to the top of the search.

    Google came along and at the time the top search results were actually the most useful rather than who paid the most and they took over. Google has been above yahoo for a couple of decades now.

    Chances are very slim.  Yahoo is nearly worthless now.  If they shut down Yahoo finance, that would be the end.
