How long is a “winter”?

Like if someone says I will see you in “10 winters” or a “100 winters”? How long is that?

3 months, just like any other season.

Winter comes around once a year.  Figure it out.

It is an old expression for the passage of time.  A "winter" happens once each year - so "10 winters" would be 10 years and "100 winters" would be 100 years.

Not very many people would ever say they would see you in 100 winters if they understood what it actually meant.

    10 years or 100 years.
