Sacha Baron Cohen idiot or genius?

I think he's funny. Having said that, I have to question some of his tactics and the overall point of what he's doing. I mean, as much as I laughed at the first Borat - I haven't seen the second one yet - I have to wonder what the point was. Yes, he exposes the prejudice lying underneath the thin veneer of civility. But was anyone really expecting any of his targets to be the most open-minded people in the world? I think his films have the unfortunate side effect of making some people feel self-congratulatory instead of examining themselves and their own motives. 

An absolute funny genius, love his Ali G and Borat personas and his silly interviews where the people he interviews think he's serious and he's taking the mick , how he keeps a straight face I'll never know. Comedy legend.

Irony is wasted on Americans.

he's a well connected troll. he was  given a platform to troll that most others would never have got. He isn't close to funny when he isn't trolling somebody -he usually resorts to trite ethnic stereotypes  - very much a one trick pony and an overrated one at that.

He's a professional. Anyone else would have his life in danger, doing what he does.

Borat is the greatest movie of all time

The man is a genuine genius. How he gets private people to open up is legend. That is the sort of thing you'd expect from top lawyers.
