Should MLB cancel this year's All-Star Game and why?
MLB has announced they have moved this year's All Star Game out of Atlanta. So far there is no replacement city or team to host the All-Star Game. Most cites have only one Baseball team, expect for Chicago, New York and Los Angeles that has 2 teams, 1 in the National League, and 1 in the American League, Cubs, Mets, and Dodgers are the National League teams in each of these cities, and White Sox, Yankees, and Angels are the American League teams in these cities. But I think they should cancel the game, since the game is predictable since the American League pretty much and I will expect them to win this years' game anyways. The last year the National League team won the All Star Game was 2012. The game is just an exhibition game, that means nothing in the standings, they have plenty of time to announce a new host city and team, but I think they should just cancel the game, and award the win to the American League, since they will pretty much just win the game anyways this year anyways.

Yes, it's an unnecessary added risk with Covid numbers rising again.

Major League Baseball should have the All Star Game and let Atlanta host the game like they have planned it for years. After all, it's not like the All Star Game is a game where baseball fans remember who hosted the game years after it was played.
If MLB decides to cave into political pressure like the NFL and NBA, they can expect to lose fans like they did during the 1994 MLB Strike and many of the fans might not come back. I decided not to support Major League Baseball for the 2021 season; however, I will support Minor League Baseball and the College World Series.

Clearly you've never dealt with contracts.
MLB has broadcast rights deals with FOX and ESPN. Canceling the game would put MLB in breach of contract since each network would lose out. FOX loses what is their highest-rated MLB game other than the World Series. ESPN loses out on the HR Derby which also means they lose out on ad revenue.
As to where they can hold the game, any number of venues would work. Denver and Baltimore have both gone over 20 years without hosting. Seattle would likely avoid wet weather. Tampa has never hosted an ASG. Toronto has gone well over 25 years but COVID and border issues make that a non-starter.
