How did Hinduism manage to survive ?

In the monotheistic-obsessed modern world???

If you think about it, almost all the world’s countries are either Muslim or Christian (of course I know that atheism is growing but you know what I mean.

Traditional and polytheistic religions have almost all died out. How did Hinduism manage to survive

The Hindu regions fought hard against the Islamic invasion waves from the West. Some were overrun, but most survived. When British troops came along, a peace accord was eventually formulated whereby Indian states got to keep their religion and the Brits would reap the benefits of open trade. It was a win win for all.

Typically Christianity would be imposed upon a populace under British control, but an exception was made for India. The deal provided a friendly landscape with most of the states.

Hinduism is the main religion of a huge country with a huge population. It is self sustaining.
