My car jerks and hesitates on acceleration after stopping. Not consistent but off and on.?

This is usually ignition;  plugs. wires. Maybe coil pack or connection to.  Not rotor or cap , as car too new. Maybe a bad coil pack.  Strat by pulling wires,  with Engine at idle; one at a time (If you Have them), or wire to  coil pack. Beware, you have 3 that control all 6 plugs, so, if one makes no difference, change Both plugs  to that coil. 

   Using good injector cleaners, Top Tier gas doesn't hurt, either. I would think injector problem would be more consistent. You might want to see if wire all tight to sensors, see if throttle position sensor loose.

    Edit: How can Anyone  talk of "codes" if M/M/Y Not given? Might be a '74 Pinto. Some things never change; like needing fuel, compression, timing, ignition (unless Diesel),  vacuum; and clear intake and exhausts. 

  My Harley had an intermittent eng. lite, then lost Speedo, would stall  at intersections. Always restarted, though.  Sometimes, she  stored a fault code, sometimes not. I tightened all battery/ground leads. Fine, now.

How do you expect to get an answer from us? We don't know the year, make, model or motor size and don't have the vehicle to read the engine data to diagnose it.

inconsistency often means wiring/electric. I would start with sensors and icm.

Dirty fuel injectors would be my first guess. Put a couple bottles of injector cleaner through it on your next two fill-ups, and stop using the cheapest gasoline. It will probably clear up. 

Year make and model.  Check for trouble codes with a scanner.  Could be a bad throttle body.

Sounds like an ignition misfire, combustion pressure increases under load which can exaggerate  ignition misses.

Great information but NOT a question, no make, model, year, WTF kind of answer are you expecting? The frigging thing is broke is the best anyone can do.

It could be a lot of things.

Sounds like you have a misfire going on. Can be something as simple as a an old (or new) spark plug or spark plug wire but you can have AutoZone plug in their scan tool for free to see if there are any codes in the PSM/ECM.
