Should one get a background check, pay a fee, and get a license to practice your religion or freedom of speech/press/assembly?

Should the government dictate YOUR rights?

Remember, it is all or nothing. No gray area.

Why or why not?

Hey, it’s your fantasy. FYI, yes, I support religion being taxed and come to think of it, make protesters liable to cover any damage that they do.

The Constitution is the document in which the government dictates your rights. It literally has a section called the "Bill of Rights". If you don't want the government to dictate your rights, you should oppose the Constitution. That said, I am not sure I understand the question. To answer the part of the question I do understand, you should not have to pay a fee or get a license to do most of the stuff you described. Maybe having to get a permit to march on the street is okay. And maybe laws requiring press credentials are okay.

It depends upon which Country.  I do think there should be an IQ test in order to post on Yahoo.
