If we got rid of all the porn and the baloney ads on the internet, could we use dial up?

No and also if you want to get rid of them just use an adblocker

Using dialup has nothing to to with porn or baloney ads. When I first moved to the hills we had to use dialup to get email.  Now we have "high-speed internet" at 2Mbps. woohoo!

We could, but no one sells computers with the dial up stuff in it anymore.

You would still be in a horse drawn carriage. (no car) But advancements means faster everything.  Porn is a bore and what about the pepperoni ads?  They will still exist.

No, there was porn and ads in the dial-up years too.

If you got rid of all the porn and ads, the internet would be practically empty.

Not if it still has that awful connecting sound.

Yeah, but what would be the point without all the porn?

We could use dialup internet now. There are people who still do. But theres a lot of things on the internet not porn or ad related that benefit greatly from a faster connection speed, and since we have that option available, there's no reason why we shouldnt take advantage of that technology
