I'd avoid the Chrysler products. They just don't hold up too well. They can nickel and dime you to death.

The 300 i s REAR WHEEL DRIVE and the ALTIMA is a FRONT WHEEL DRIVE! AL front drivers are SAFER than REAR DRIVERS in BAD weather! i ould actuallyu choose TWO OTHER car types LIKE AUDI and LEXUS or TOYOTA and FORD! The 200 from CHRYSLER is mopstly GERMAN and ITALIAN and is a GREAT choice with the PENTASTAR engine! My NIECE has one and it is MOSTLY EUROPEAN with ELECTRIC STEERING and EUROPEAN brakes that last for 100,000 miles before needint PADS! our cars ARE POLLUTED BY chinese AFTER MARKET PaRTS THAT ARE junk! NEITHER car is ALL WHEEL DRIVE or FOUR WHEEL DRIVE! get a nice used AUDI TURBO or SUPERCHARGED CAR! it is BETTEr than BOTH has orthopedic COMFORT SEATING as well! Even the VW is better than you choices though it is the CHEAPER form of an AUDI car! A USED AUDI is better than most NEW CARS anyways for SAFETY on the road and best traction in bad weather! The 300 LOSES IT in bad roads. the ALTIMA WAS a really good car at one time! I do NOT know about it NOW! I would get a FORD FUSION or FORD EDGE or FORD FOCUS in a heart beat! Use CONSUMER REPORTS as a GUIDE! LIBRARY TIME! GOOD LUCK! >>>The CHRYSLER 200 MAy be a better choice as it is MOSTLY GERMAN in an ITALIAN body! It has the VEST ZF tranny in there and the BEST tech features as well! BRAKES last for 100,000 miles at a TIME as they are ALSO GERMAN brakes! There are LOT of GREAT CARS put there! The other day I was looking for a used SUPERCHARGED BENZ CLK 230! It has a SUPERCHARGED FOUR BANGER! AND is a CONVERTIBLE for only $5k or so! GREAT CARS that LAST for thirty + years!

" Never just a book by it's cover." Both are terrible options if you're looking for reliability to go with looks. The Altima used to be a very dependable car, before the 2002 redesign. They have been garbage ever since, and the Chrysler 300 is just garbage.

In what context are you asking?

To buy?  If so, brand new or used?

    Which engines in these vehicles?
