Has anyone tried making a Hugelgarden? Look up Hugelkultur if unsure.?
I made mine about 1/2 height (due to landlord not wanting me to make a normal sized one - tall specifically is what they didn't want).
1st year, explosive growth of WEEDS.
2nd year less weeds and better crops.
3rd year I had to dig it up and redo it due to mistakes I made when I first made it.
Hoping that this year will be the one!

Haven't tried it directly, but my son is trying a "food forest", which uses a similar process. Hopefully, it will work enough to feed three families...
