How dangerous is it to breathe in mold dust from food?

I was helping a friend clean out cupboards and found a bag of very moldy apples, I tossed them but a puff of mold dust scattered, I'm kinda freaking out now about what harm that could cause me.

Yes, some molds cause allergic reactions and respiratory problems. And a few molds, in the right conditions, produce "mycotoxins," poisonous substances that can make you sick.

Little to no harm whatsoever. You'll be fine.

That kind of mold is harmless. There's really only one dangerous mold, and not all black molds are Black Mold.

Unless you are allergic to it, it shouldn't be a problem.

The dangerous mold is black mold in or on the walls.  Even then, many people don't react to it.
